Casting Powers
How to use a power:
Check Your Mana
First, make sure you have enough mana:
- Look at your mana points on your dashboard
- Compare to the power's cost
Choose a Power
- Click "Powers" in your menu
- Browse available powers
- Read what each power does
- Check the mana cost
- Pick the one you want
Request or Use
Depending on your class settings:
If Approval Required:
- Click "Request Power"
- Add a note if needed (e.g., "For Friday's test")
- Submit the request
- Wait for teacher to approve
- Get notified when approved or denied
If Direct Use:
- Click "Use Power"
- Confirm you want to spend the mana
- Power activates immediately
- Mana is deducted
- Enjoy your perk!
Team Powers
If your teacher has enabled teams, some powers may target your teammates instead of just yourself:
- Self — the power only affects you
- Anyone in the team — you choose any team member (including yourself) to receive the effect
- Other person on the team — you choose a team member other than yourself
- All team members — the effect applies to your entire team, including you
- All other team members — the effect applies to all your teammates, but not you
Your teacher decides which powers target teammates. Look for a team icon on a power to see who it affects.
Sending Power Requests
If your class requires approval:
How Requests Work
- You: Request to use a power
- System: Sends notification to teacher
- Teacher: Reviews your request
- Teacher: Approves or denies
- If approved: Mana is deducted, power is granted
- If denied: Mana stays, you can try again
If Denied
Your teacher might deny because:
- Bad timing
- Not appropriate right now
- You need to save mana for something else
- Rule violation
What to do:
- Accept the decision respectfully
- Ask politely why if unclear
- Try again later if appropriate
- Choose a different power
Mana Management
Use your mana wisely!
How Much Mana Do You Have?
Sources of mana:
- Level up: +1 mana (usually, up to max of 5)
- Weekly gifts: Your teacher might give mana on certain days
- Special rewards: Bonus mana for achievements
Important: Your mana has a maximum of 5. If you're already at max, save your mana flasks for when you need them!
