Students Can Now Use Powers and Shop on Their Own!
I'm excited to share a major update that brings more autonomy to your
students while keeping you in full control!
Students can now use powers and buy shop items directly from their
avatar dashboard when they log in. You decide whether they can use items
instantly or need to request your approval first.
🎮 Student Self-Service
When students log into their avatar dashboard, they'll now see two new buttons:
Powers and Shop (if you have gold enabled).
Students can:
- Browse available powers - See all powers unlocked for their level
- Use powers or request approval - Depending on how you configure each power
- Browse shop items - See all items they can afford at their level
- Purchase items or request approval - Based on your settings
- Track pending requests - See which requests are waiting for your approval
- Cancel requests - Remove requests before you respond
The system is smart about resources - when students submit a request, their mana
or gold is reserved so they can't overspend while waiting for your approval.
📋 Teacher Approval System
You have complete control over which powers and shop items require your
approval. Configure each one individually based on your classroom management
style.
In your class settings, you'll find a new "Needs approval" checkbox for each
power and shop item:
- Checked - Students must request approval; you review and approve/reject
- Unchecked - Students can use the power or buy the item instantly
Managing Requests
When students submit requests, you'll see them immediately in your Activity
page:
- A pending requests section appears at the top with all requests awaiting your response
- The Activity button shows a badge counter (e.g., "3" or "9+") so you always know how many requests are waiting
- One-click approve or reject each request
- The system validates that students have enough mana/gold before letting you approve
All requests are tracked in the activity log, so you can see which ones were
approved, rejected, or completed instantly.
💡 Premium Update
As many of you have noticed, it's already December 😅. The premium version won't
be launching by the end of this year as originally planned.
I want to make sure the premium features are truly ready before charging for
them. ClassMana will remain completely free until the premium version is
fully polished and includes all the features you deserve.
I'll keep you updated on the timeline as we get closer to launch. Thank you for
