Info Objectives

Info objectives are for storytelling and context within your quest. They don't require students to complete an assignment — students simply read the content and the objective auto-completes.

Creating an Info Objective

  1. Open the quest map editor
  2. Click + Add Objective
  3. Set the type to Info
  4. Configure the objective settings (see below)

Objective Settings

  • Title — What students see on the map
  • Story Text — The main narrative content shown to the student
  • Description — Additional details or context
  • Rewards — Optional rewards awarded when the student reads the node

When to Use Info Objectives

Info nodes are ideal for:

  • Background lore — Set the scene for your quest narrative ("You've arrived at the ancient library...")
  • Instructions — Explain what's coming next in the quest or how to approach upcoming tasks
  • Links to resources — Share videos, articles, or external materials
  • Story transitions — Bridge between different sections of your quest

Storytelling Tips

Use info nodes at the start of a quest to introduce the narrative, between major task groups to advance the story, and before boss objectives to build anticipation.

Student Experience

  1. Student clicks the info objective on the map
  2. Reads the story text and description
  3. The objective automatically completes — no action needed
  4. Any configured rewards are applied and the next objectives unlock

No Submission Required

Info objectives complete as soon as the student opens them. There is no approval step. This makes them perfect for pacing and storytelling without adding extra work.
